Tag-Along Timothy Tours Alaska

Timothy's brothers and sisters had given him the nickname "Tag-Along" for obvious reasons. He was always ready to follow at the slightest provocation. This forgiveable habit launched Timothy on his greatest adventure–a trip from his home in Texas to faraway Alaska. He rode in a big produce truck, then an airplane, and finally watched snowcapped mountains pass by through the funny round window of a big ship. But the strangest experience of all was riding under a tarp in a big truck and learning to eat a new type of green vegetable, a fiddlehead fern. The idea for the story was conceived when the author visited her mother, author Mary Cary, who has a fiddlehead ferm farm between Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska. Beautifully illustrated by Jo Ann Edington.
